Amanda Nunes offered an apology to Ronda Rousey a few days ago. Now she says why.

We recently posted an article about Amanda Nunes’ apology to Ronda Rousey, for her UFC 207 post fight actions. Today, she let us know why.

“(The apology) That was the real Amanda – Respecting. That night (UFC 207) I couldn’t get a hold of myself.”

“It was me and my girlfriend against the world, the whole week. (Nothing) about me. Everything about her. I was the champion and to hold that in; That was pretty hard and it (The lack of promotion for Nunes) hurt me a lot.”

Nunes had a legitimate gripe, as all the marketing and promotion was for Ronda Rousey and not the actual champion. That frustration boiled over at UFC 207 in Amanda’s post fight interviews and Twitter posts. ‘The Lioness’ offered an apology, despite her understandable actions.

She went on Fox Sports: The Buzzer and explained her need to apologize. We all know why and it’s because she conducts herself like a champion.
