Anderson Silva tentatively scheduled for fight at Fight Night Shanghai

This will be the second time these two were supposed to meet.

Anderson Silva might be back in the Octagon for the UFC’s first foray into mainland China in November. The UFC has been to Macau, but their visit to Shanghai marks their first visit to China proper. It looks as if the main event for that event could feature Anderson Silva taking on Kelvin Gastelum.  The two were set to meet once before, but Kelvin was suspended due to a positive test for marijuana.

Anderson Silva is coming off of a razor thin decision victory of Derek Brunson, while Gastelum was soundly defeated in his last outing by Chris Weidman.  It’s a big fight for both fighters and certainly one neither can afford to lose.  The fight is not official at this time, and it’s the only rumored fight for the card at this point.

We will update you on other fights scheduled for the card when they become available.

Damon Martin was the first to report the potential fight, for Flo Combat.
