Skip Bayless: “Dana White is right. McGregor beats Mayweather in a boxing match”

Skip Bayless: "Dana White is right. McGregor beats Mayweather in a boxing match"

Conor McGregor vs Floyd Mayweather has been fun water cooler conversation the last few months. The fantasy fight has been a ‘what-if’ conversation between friends, until the mainstream media began flaunting the possibility.

Recently the host of FS1’s sports talk show, Undisputed, has joined in on the conversation. Previously, Skip Bayless went on record saying that Conor McGregor could hang with Floyd Mayweather in a boxing ring, but wouldn’t win. He has since changed his tune and said that not only could McGregor hang with Mayweather, he’d destroy him.

UFC president Dana White spoke with tmz last week and stated that Mayweather wants nothing to do with McGregor. Skip Bayless agreed with White’s sentiment on his FS1 show ‘Undisputed‘.

Regardless, the Floyd Mayweather vs Conor McGregor saga continues to be relevant.

UFC’s best trash talk of 2016

UFC's best trash talk of 2016

UFC’s best trash talk of 2016

The UFC posted a video of the best trash talk and insults from 2016. Of course, Conor McGregor is the captain of the trash talking ship. Nate Diaz, Daniel Cormier, Jon Jones, Michael Bisping, et al. make appearances as well.

We here at mikeswick.com aren’t really fans of the whole smack talk phenomenon. However, this video is pretty damn hilarious. The look on Conor McGregor’s face when Jeremy Stephens speaks about him, just gets us every time. After that, came the  quote of the year.

“Who the fook is that guy?!?!”

Conor, don’t you ever change.

Cub Swanson: Started from the bottom, now he's here

MMA fans saw Cub Swanson do something special at UFC 206. Cub doesn’t really doesn’t really see it, but he’ll take our word for it. He has always taken ‘respect’ very seriously. Cody Garbrandt: Ohio Alpha Male

Cody Garbrandt: Ohio Alpha Male

Cody Garbrandt is on a quest to make history at UFC 207. He is looking to be the first fighter to ever take the title belt away from Dominick Cruz. Garbrandt stays true to his roots and often goes back to his native Ohio. He is a proud supporter of the kids on his high school wrestling team and aids in training them for success. Part of being a UFC star is giving back to the community that helped mold you. The kids understand that what Garbrandt is doing for them, is special. When many athletes ‘make it’ they don’t look in their rear view to see what they left behind. Training with a superstar who doesn’t act like one, can have an extremely positive affect on a kid who may need some direction.

As for Garbrandt’s preparation for Dominick Cruz… His Team Alpha Male peers express praise and envy for Garbrandt’s work ethic. They recognize Cody possessing the skill and mindset of a world champion. On December 30, 2016 at UFC 207, Cody Garbrandt will have the chance to become a UFC title holder. Everything seem to be lining up nicely for Garbrandt in his mission for gold. Now he just has to go out and take what he feels is his.
