The good news is… it was just announced that Ryan Bader will be taking on Phil Davis for the Bellator light heavyweight championship, instead.
Phil Davis went on the MMA Hour and announced the good news that he will now face Ryan Bader at Bellator 180 on June 24, at Madison Square Garden. King Mo was originally scheduled to welcome Bader into the Bellator organization, but due to injury, Phil has stepped in and it’s a title fight.

Bader called out Davis as soon as he got signed to the organization a few weeks ago. The two had previously fought at UFC on FOX 14 in 2015. It was very evenly matched and Bader won by split decision. Now, they’ll do the dance again, but this time, under the Bellator banner and for a shiny gold belt.
