Not so fast, UFC on FOX 24 card sees a major change
There are no certainties in life, or in the UFC
Well, yesterday the MMA world announced that the main event of UFC on FOX 24 would be former champion Renan Barao facing upstart Doo Ho Choi. There was even an event poster photo that was released by the Spring Center, where the event is being held. Not so fast.
John Morgan of MMA Junkie was the first to report the fight was taking place. He reported the news via his Twitter account.
UFC official tells me Choi-Barao is not happening despite the web posting that was apparently made in error.

It turns out the fight was close to being signed for the main event and Doo Ho Choi either turned down the bout, or pulled out of it, depending on who you ask. All that is known at this point is that the other feature fight for the event, Michelle Waterson taking on Rose Namajunas is a go. That’s good news.
They are looking for a new fight for Renan Barao, and it is unknown if they are looking for him to appear in the main event still, at this point. All we can confirm at this time is plans have changed and “The Korean Super Boy” will not be in Kansas City for the fight.
As more fights, including the main event, are announced for UFC on FOX 24, we’ll have them for you here.
