Benson Henderson takes a shot at Conor McGregor without even having to mention his name. You know what? It’s kind of nice and pretty clever about how he did it. Bendo wants people to know that he doesn’t need to be a scumbag or break the law to sell a fight. In my humble opinion, he’s totally right.
It seems like mixed martial arts has evolved from a sport to more of a sideshow. There isn’t anything really wrong with trying to sell fights by being a little controversial. However, as Bendo is showing, you don’t need to go an illegal extra mile to try and put asses in the seats.
I truly feel that MMA needs a lot less of the crazy acts and more class added to it.
By the way, it is the promotion’s job to promote, not the fighters.
I love ā¤ļø getting my hand raised…
But Iām not ever gonna purposefully act a fool & embarass myself, my team, my family šØāš©āš¦āš¦, martial arts š„ as a whole for a few ppv buys šµ or because they said some mean words to me…#CutFromADifferentCloth#TheOnceAndFutureKing#Bellator208 pic.twitter.com/Q4TJXFuc4C— TheOnceAndFutureKing (@BensonHenderson) October 15, 2018
