Body shot, OUCH. Flying knee, KNOCKOUT. Faceplant, OVER.

Body shot, OUCH. Flying knee, KNOCKOUT. Faceplant, OVER.

You always know when a body shot hurts someone. Immediately after taking the punch, you see the elbows come down and the fighter pretends it didn’t hurt. Meanwhile, their body language changes drastically and they leave their head unprotected.

This is the case when Yuzuki Satomi took out Takeshi Watanabe in their Muay Thai fight. First, Satomi lands the left kick to the body and Watanabe is hurt. Then, as Watanabe stumbles back with his hands down, Satomi runs in with a jumping knee. The knee lands and snaps Watanabe’s head back as he faceplants on the canvas.

Textbook, kicking the other guy’s ass: 101.
