BREAKING: Cain Velasquez pulled from UFC 207

We’re only 6 days away from UFC 207 and news just broke via Brett Okamoto of ESPN that former UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez has been pulled from the event.

This comes as a shock to not only fight fans, but to Cain himself.

Cain, who has mentioned that he will be undergoing back surgery this coming January, was primed and ready to go. In fact he was feeling good as his upcoming surgery was not to repair damage and thus not as serious as it sounds.

Twitter was running a bit wild trying to get a handle on what was going on as no one in Cain’s camp had been notified by NSAC or the UFC about him being pulled. Okamoto then followed up with a tweet that put the confusion to bed.

One has to wonder, with Cain’s doctors clearing him to the commission, if this can’t possibly be overturned. We here at MikeSwick.com want to wish Cain the best and hope that the situation is cleared up and that we see him in the octagon 6 days from now.
