Brent Primus set to rematch Michael Chandler at Bellator 211

The rematch for the Lightweight Title is set for December 14th

Former Bellator lightweight champion Michael Chandler lost his title due to an injury he suffered during his fight with Brent Primus at Bellator NYC. The fight was stopped due to an ankle injury just over two minutes into the fight scheduled for five rounds. With the injury, the win went to Brent Primus, as did the Lightweight title.  That brings us to Bellator 211.

The two were set to meet again in April, but a knee injury forced Primus to withdraw from the fight. Chandler negotiating a new contract and reached a deal with Bellator. So two are finally set to meet again, and this time it will happen December 14th at Bellator 211.

It’s been over a year since Primus won the title, and has yet to defend that belt. He’s had injuries and it’s nice to see the belt finally be defended again. No other bouts have been announced for Bellator 211 and the location is not yet known.
