Brock Lesnar’s successful return to MMA at UFC 200 this past July just hit a major hiccup. It wasn’t long after his unanimous decision win over Mark Hunt that Lesnar was flagged by USADA for testing positive for an anti-estrogen agent. Today it was reported just what that positive test means for the former UFC heavyweight champion.
Brock was hit with a fine of $250,000 and will be forced to serve a 1-year suspension by the Nevada State Athletic Commission. Additionally, his win has been changed to a “no contest”. While there hasn’t been much chatter following Lesnar’s return to the octagon in regards to him making another title run, this certainly doesn’t bode well for the current WWE star as he turns 40 next July.
Also feeling the weight of the NSAC hammer was Nate Diaz to the tune of 2.5% of his UFC 202 purse for his part in the bottle throwing incident with Conor McGregor during their press conference. With a $2 million dollar pay day, Nate is forced to forked over $50,000 and in addition serve 50 hours of community service.
