Chris Weidman wants to prove doubters and haters wrong.
UFC fighters, whether undefeated in their career or consistent losers, will always have haters and doubters. After beginning his career with an undefeated record and owning two wins over the greatest middleweight of all time, Weidman found himself on a three-fight losing skid. In his last fight, Weidman got back into the win column with a stoppage victory over current #1 contender, Kelvin Gastelum.
Tonight, Weidman comes back after over a year layoff to take on Jacare Souza. Weidman sounds absolutely convinced that he will be doing his best out there and will open some eyes. It’s tough being at the top of the mountain and falling so far down it. Weidman has been wildly inconsistent with his activity level and is hoping to start anew and continue his win streak over Jacare.
