CM Punk says if it were up to him, he’d be first fight on Fight Pass
People are upset that CM Punk is on the PPV aspect of the fight card.
CM Punk seems to not sweat the small stuff. He knows that people are scoffing at the notion that he and another 0-1 fighter are on the PPV part of the card. I mean, let’s be honest, Holly Holm is on the prelims. So is Claudia Gadelha, Ricardo Lamas, Rashad Evans, Joe Benavidez, Sergio Pettis, and others. Does CM Punk deserve a PPV slot? No, of course not. Is it that big of a deal though? Nope, it’s not.
UFC 225 is STACKED and it’s a great night of fights, regardless as to when the fights take place. CM Punk brings with his name value, the ability to sell PPVs. That’s the simple and only reason he’s on the main card. So settle down and just enjoy what promises to be an awesome night.
While people can continue to speculate as to whether the PPV spot is deserved, CM Punk will go on not giving it much thought. Mark Coleman brought up the subject and Punk quickly responded, here’s what was said.
UFC 225 takes place June 9th in Chicago. The card can be seen here.
