It’s on! Conor McGregor vs Khabib Nurmagomedov official for October 6
It’s on! The UFC just put a promo package together at the end of their UFC 25th Anniversary press-conference. Conor McGregor will square off against Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 229 on October 6. It will take place live from Las Vegas and will potentially be the biggest fight in UFC history. In the words of Dana White,
“The fight is done. It’s on, ladies and gentlemen.”
The promo package that they showed wasn’t billed as a champion vs champion fight. Rather, it was about Conor’s bus attack and the drama surrounding Artem and Khabib. In other words, this is a grudge match and the UFC will use the drama to sell the hell out of this event. The fact that it’s for the lightweight title is just a bonus.
It’s finally happening and this is the shot in the arm that the UFC desperately needs.
