Dana thinks Holloway was misdiagnosed and didn’t have a concussion

Max Holloway was pulled from his UFC 226 title fight with Brian Ortega after showing ‘concussion-like symptoms’. UFC president, Dana White thinks that Holloway was misdiagnosed and was actually suffering from ‘water poisoning’ due to ‘water loading’.

In an interview with Kevin Iole, Dana White expressed what he really thinks happened to Max Holloway.

“(Max) is saying that he didn’t get knocked out, didn’t get rocked; None of that. But, on Monday when I heard about this, I heard that he was water loading, which is super dangerous. There’s such a thing as water poisoning and you can actually drink too much water and die from it. There are a lot of theories out there about what’s wrong with him, but we’re going to find out.”

Since the interview (which was before UFC 226) we haven’t heard anything regarding what went wrong for Holloway.
