Just when you think Conor McGregor couldn’t get any more brash, he decides to belittle the company that pays him. McGregor had some very harsh words for… well, pretty much everybody, on his Instagram account today.
You have to wonder if McGregor is just trolling the entire planet, or if he actually means the things he says. Regardless, he had to know that his words would get back to the boss.
After the Ultimate Fight Night concluded in Denver, UFC President Dana White fielded questions at the post-fight presser. Of course, McGregor’s wild Instagram post was brought up and he was asked for his thoughts on it. It was brought up that Conor said his next fight is going to be in a boxing ring, with or without the UFC’s backing. Also, that he had posted, “F**k the UFC”.
“I didn’t hear all that. When you are about to go on a pay-per-view that you charge $5 bucks to listen to you talk, I’m sure you are going to say some pretty crazy shit.”
His jovial disposition quickly changed to a very stern warning.
“You know how I feel about Conor. You know, I’ve always shown Conor nothing but respect and if he wants to go down that road with us… Let me tell you, it will be an epic fall.”
After a wildly uncomfortable 7 seconds of silence, a reporter meekly asked if he saw it going that way.
“I don’t know. It’s not up to me.”
Now THIS… I’d pay $5 to see!
