Jon Jones had recently done an interview talking about beating DC for the third time.
Jon Jones sure stays relevant in the media despite not being allowed to participate in the sport of MMA. He’s recently had a spirited back and forth with Chael Sonnen. Now has done an interview in which he projects what the third fight with DC might produce. Here’s an exert from that interview with Russian site RT.
“My vision is fighting him at light heavyweight first. I think beating him a third time would really do something to his confidence. In his head, I feel like he thinks he can still beat me, especially because the fight was going fairly well before I knocked him out, and I want to crush that confidence. I want to break his will and I want to break the idea of him thinking he can beat me, and I believe doing that a light heavyweight would be the smartest thing to do. For a third time.”
It’s an interesting situation because Jon Jones is awaiting a punishment for a second failed drug test after his second fight with Cormier. Jon has not been someone that can be relied upon for promotion, or do simply stay within what is widely considered legal, adult behavior. Daniel Cormier took to Twitter to respond to Jon Jones, and here’s what he said.
