Donald Cerrone will meet Yancy Medeiros at Welterweight in February.
This fight was just announced and should be completely off the hook. Donald Cerrone is set to meet Yancy Medeiros in the main event of Fight Night 126, also known as UFC Austin. It’s a fun fight to be certain, between two fighters who never fail to show up and throw down.
Donald Cerrone (32-10) is entering the fight on a three-fight losing streak. He is coming off of a devastating knockout loss to Darren Till. Till, who is ridiculously heavy-handed needed less than a round to finish Cerrone. Donald’s previous two losses were against Robbie Lawler and Jorge Masvidal. There’s no shame in losing to either of those great fighters.
Yancy Medeiros (15-4) enters the fight on a three-fight winning streak. In his last outing, he defeated the very tough Alex Oliveira via TKO in the third round of their fight. Both Yancy and Cerrone are ranked in the top 15 of the division and a win is very important for both fighters.
The two will undoubtedly be ready to unleash the fury when they meet and I am fairly certain judges will not be necessary when this one is all said and done.
