Todd Duffee and Mark Godbeer UFC 209 fight appears off

The UFC 209 clash between Todd Duffee & Mark Godbeer is off according to reports

UFC 209 looks to have lost a heavyweight fight between Todd Duffee and Mark Godbeer.  Godbeer (11-3) lost his UFC debut to Justin Ledet at UFC Fight Night 99 and was looking to rebound against Duffee.  Mark took to his Facebook account to let his fans know the fight appears to be cancelled.

Todd Duffee (9-3) exploded onto the UFC scene with a seven second knockout victory over Tim Hague in his promotional debut.  He lost his last outing in the UFC, suffering a knockout at the hands of Frank Mir.  This was to be an opportunity for Duffee to rebound as well.

Godbeer and his management are working with the UFC to solidify a replacement, and Mark is confident he’ll still compete at UFC 209.

UFC 209 takes place March 4th, 2017 in Las Vegas, NV.  It is headlined by two title fights.  Tryon Woodley will defend his Welterweight Title in a rematch with Stephen Thompson.  In the co-main event Khabib Nurmagomedov will clash with Tony Ferguson for the interim Lightweight championship.
