Fifth time’s a charm? Nope. More bad luck for Uncle Creepy, Ian McCall.

Fifth time’s a charm? Nope. More bad luck for Uncle Creepy, Ian McCall.

…and just like that, Ian McCall has his fifth fight in a row cancelled at the eleventh hour. McCall was scheduled to fight this evening at UFC 208 against Jarred Brooks.

Direct from the UFC official website, journalist Thomas Gerbasi reported:

“Flyweight contender Ian McCall has been removed from tonight’s UFC 208 bout against Jarred Brooks due to illness.

McCall was transported to a local hospital with gastrointestinal issues and was pulled from the card on the doctor’s recommendation.

The UFC 208 card at Barclays Center will proceed as scheduled with 10 bouts.”

You have to feel bad for Ian McCall, because a fifth fight in a row being scrapped is improbable.  He even weighed in and had the ceremonial face-off with his opponent. Here’s to hoping McCall is ok and this latest speed-bump is just another unfortunate setback that is now behind him.
