Joe Lauzon and Clay Guida have great cardio, great skill sets and love to hunt bonuses.
Fight Night 120 in Norfolk, VA is shaping up to be a fun little card. Another great fight was just added to it as Lightweights Clay Guida is set to meet Joe Lauzon. When you get those two in the cage, you can almost guarantee it’s going to be straight fire. The two fighters chase bonus checks like crazy and have a combined 13 Fight of the Night awards and a mind-numbing 24 bonuses in total. Those would also include KO of the night, submission of the night and Fight of the Night.
Joe Lauzon (27-13) will enter this contest coming off of a defeat to Stevie Ray at Fight Night 108. The puzzling thing about Lauzon is his wins and losses are very sequential. He’s gone, win-lose-win-lose-win-lose-win-lose now for like his past ten fights. It bodes well for him now though as history would dictate that he’s due for a win next time. He’s not in title contention or pressing for money fights, but what he is, is very entertaining.
Clay Guida (33-17) comes into this fight having also gone .500 for his last ten fights. He’s 5-5 but is coming off of a victory over Erik Koch at Fight Night 112. History would also dictate that Guida is due for a loss. Those factors being what they are, it’s definitely going to be a lot of fun.
Two great fighters, with vast experience and tons of bonuses awards, what could go wrong?
