Floyd Mayweather: “I’m going to slap the sh*t out of McGregor when I see him”

Floyd Mayweather posted a live stream from his Periscope account and had a lot to say. We must remember that Floyd is an entertainer and when the camera is pointed at him, he’s on stage. Looking eerily similar to Johnny Depp in Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Mayweather aims his live rant towards UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor. Reminiscent of Eddie Murphy’s impression of Mr T from his 1987 Raw special (Imma Whip Eddie Murphy’s ass when I see him); Floyd Mayweather went all in.

“Ima fu*k McGregor up too. Punkass McGregor. I’m going to slap the sh*t out of Conor McGregor when I see him.”

McGregor obtained a California boxing license a few weeks ago and the media have been all over Floyd Mayweather about it. The Mayweather camp feels that the move was just posturing and McGregor isn’t really serious about boxing. McGregor has openly said he’d fight Mayweather for $100 million. Coincidentally, I would too.

Mayweather fighting McGregor may still only be a pipe dream. Floyd is 2 months away from 40. I sit here as a 43 year old man with a pinched nerve in my neck and a tear in my groin. These injuries occurred when I was asleep. In other words, Floyd is getting old. McGregor is a 2 division UFC champion and the UFC’s first priority is getting Conor to defend the 1 belt he hasn’t been stripped of.

In my opinion, this is a fight that would end poorly for Conor McGregor. Boxing is hard coded into Floyd’s DNA. He’s arguably the greatest boxer to ever live. Conor has great striking for MMA. Striking, that he sets up with leg kicks or the threat of other weapons used in MMA.  Whether or not Floyd ever gets to slap Conor remains to be seen. For now, we should just enjoy their highly entertaining online battle.
