Soon-to-be UFC flyweight fighter, Rauliian Paiva, seemingly had everything going for him in his MMA career. He won his fight on the Brazilian version of Dana White’s Contender Series and inked a deal with the company. All was roses until this past weekend when he lost his girlfriend in a totally unnecessary traffic incident.
Guilherme Cruz at MMAFighting.com had the story.
“According to reports from local news outlets, Paiva and his girlfriend decided to leave a night club after two men harassed her and tried to pick a fight with him. Paiva stopped his motorcycle at a red light and was hit from behind by the car. Paiva didn’t suffer any serious injury, but apparently Alves’ helmet went off on the fall.
When the car hit them, looks like Raulian fell off the motorcycle so he just got injured from the fall, but the car dragged the motorcycle with her on it for some time.”
Paiva took to his Instagram and expressed his love and grief for Alves.
“You’ll always be my girlfriend, my princess, my everything. I’m heartbroken, with no ground, but I know you’re in a good place now, you’re in the Lord’s arms. I love you my guardian angel.”
