Former NFL player Greg Hardy won his MMA debut. Ready for more!

Former NFL player, Greg Hardy, has been going on for a while now that he wants to transition to MMA. He had his first fight this past weekend and won via 32-second knockout. He’s already looking at fighting again next month.

Back in March, Hardy wasn’t on Dana White’s radar. Dana had a message to Hardy, basically telling him to prove himself first. TMZ is really pushing hard for Hardy and the UFC to come to terms, but what they fail to realize is that Hardy is just another guy. He doesn’t have a name like CM Punk, where he brings a whole sport with him to buy pay-per-views.

At the moment, Hardy is an ex-NFL player with a history of domestic abuse and drug charges. This isn’t exactly what the UFC wants to put their name on. As Hardy mentions in the video,

“Keep an eye on me. I’m all about proving things. I need to prove to the world the things I need to prove. Obviously I’ve got to work on myself and put my best foot forward.”

If Hardy continues down the straight and narrow path, as well as see continued MMA success, you never know what the future could hold for him. For now, it’s just baby steps.
