“Jacare” Souza vs. Tim Boetsch added to UFC 208 Lineup
UFC 208 in Brooklyn gets an interesting Middleweight fight added.
UFC 208 is set to take place on February 11th live from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY. Just announced for the PPV lineup is a Middleweight tilt between Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza and Tim Boetsch. The event is headlined by UFC Women’s inaugural Featherweight title fight featuring Holly Holm and Germaine de Randamie.
Jacare Souza (23-4) enters the fight winning two of his last three. He handed Vitor Belfort a KO loss in Round 1 at UFC 198. Known as a tremendous submission master, Jacare has become proficient standing as well. He is a very dangerous fighter, and is always in the mix of the Middleweight title picture. He recently turned to Craigslist to find an opponent, but fortunately, it didn’t come to that.
Tim Boetsch (20-10) rides a two fight winning streak into this compelling Middleweight fight. In his last fight at UFC 205 he defeated Rafael Natal by strikes in the round one. He’s a massive Middleweight and is remarkably strong for the division. He’ll be looking to keep the fight standing, and avoid Jacare’s massive submission grappling advantage.
The UFC 208 card should provide a ton of action, here’s how it looks so far.
