Bec Rawlings has new opponent at Fight Night 121 due to Joanne Calderwood injury

Jojo Calderwood is the latest to get bit by the injury bug, she’s been forced off the Sydney card.

An undisclosed injury has unfortunately forced Joanne Calderwood off of the UFC Sydney card on November 19th. Jesse Taylor and Mark Hunt were both supposed to be competing on this card as well.  However, they were forced off the card for different reasons. Jesse failed a USADA test and Mark Hunt was removed by the UFC after he did an interview indicating he has lingering effects from head trauma.

The bad news for Bec is she lost an opponent, but the silver lining is, they’ve found her a suitable replacement. She’ll be facing Jessica-Rose Clark in a clash in the newly created Flyweight division. Jessica is more commonly known by her nickname Jesse Jess and she, like Bec hails from Austrailia.

Jessica is making her promotional debut and carries a (7-4) record into the fight with Rawlings.

UFC Fight Night 121 is headlined by Fabricio Werdum facing off with Marcin Tybura. The lineup for the entire card can be seen here.
