Joe “Diesel” Riggs is your new BKB light heavyweight champion

Former WEC middleweight champion, Joe “Diesel” Riggs, has added another title to his resume. Recently, he was crowned the Bare Knuckle Boxing light heavyweight champion. Yes, you read that correctly.

Taking place across the pond in the United Kingdom, Riggs earned the decision win over Christian Evans.

Riggs, whose mixed martial arts record stands at 42-17, 1 NC, is a veteran of 11 UFC fights spread across his 16-year career. His first UFC appearance was all the way back at UFC 49 in 2004.

In 2013, Riggs won season one of Fight Master: Bellator MMA. Interestingly enough, his next fight following that win was in the UFC.

Diesel has spanned the promotional globe so to speak; having fought in the UFC, WEC, Strikeforce, Bellator, KOTC, and a plethora of independent promotions in between.

Joe’s last MMA match was in October of 2016 where he scored a TKO win over Cody McKenzie.
