Kajan Johnson has been a thorn in the UFC’s side for a while now. He’s spoken up about things that people are too afraid to speak about for fear of being fired. Johnson had serious issues with the Reebok deal and at the UFC summit a couple of years ago, let it be known. It was just a matter of time that he sustained consecutive losses and the UFC would be able to fire him. Their wish came true, as he dropped two fights and was subsequently let go from the promotion.
Johnson was outspoken but he wasn’t a poison within the company. However, the UFC does not like the inmates running the asylum and silenced him as soon as they were able.
Johnson went on his IG and expressed his sadness about the breakup.
“It is with sadness in my heart that I say farewell to the UFC. I spent the majority of my life trying to get in and once I was in, I did it my way. I accomplished my dreams and did what I could to effect change within a system that greatly needs it. I am grateful for the blessings and the lessons that I was given and shown in these last 4 years and am truly a better man and fighter because of them.
To all those that believed supported me, thank you, I love you. To all those that hated on me and motivated me, thank you, I love you. To whatever awaits me next, I am ready, let’s go!”
Johnson will be a great pickup for any organization. He always comes to fight and has a great attitude if things are fair.
