Let’s face it, the press conference between Khabib Nurmagomedov and Conor McGregor was embarrassing. Conor McGregor went completely over the top trying to sell this fight and made himself look really bad in the process of doing so. It turns out that Khabib wasn’t too thrilled with his antics, yet he still remains focused on what is important; Self-respect and how he treats people.
Speaking to reporters, Khabib didn’t seem overly concerned with what Conor was saying. Rather, he focused his efforts on how he himself is perceived.
“I feel good but I don’t like [too much cursing]. Too many young guys follow us and I don’t want to be a bad example for the young generation. I don’t want this. We can not be bad people for the younger generation.
Of course, we try to promote this fight to make money but at the end of the day, you have to think of the young generation.”
Amazing. English isn’t even his first language, yet he still speaks to the media better than most American fighters.
