Khabib and Holloway strike back at Aldo

Welp, it didn’t take long for a response to be levied at Jose Aldo after his in-depth interview with MMAFighting.com’s Ariel Helwani yesterday. Max Holloway who he called out by name, and Khabibi Nurmagomedov whom he alluded to declining a fight when he said “his father didn’t think it was good”, took to twitter and Instagram to fire back at the UFC featherweight champ.

First into the cage, Max Holloway…

Additionally, Suckerpunch Entertainment, Holloway’s Management team, took to facebook to further explain why he cant’ fight at UFC 208, citing an injury to Max’s foot.

And then of course there’s Khabib Nurmagomedov. Khabib, who has been asking for a fight for quite sometime with UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor and more recently Tony Ferguson, went so far as to say that a fight with Aldo is beneath him.

This current love triangle between Aldo, Holloway, and Khabib makes for a pretty murky situation in both the featherweight and lightweight divisions. And let’s not forget, there’s also Conor who retains that he’s still the two-weight world champion.

Whatever the case may be, we’ll all be paying close attention to see how the situation unfolds. Suffice it to say, any matchup combination involving the afore mentioned would make for a must-see fight.
