LFA Bantamweight Champion Leandro Higo is headed to Bellator
If you’re a fan of Legacy Fighting Alliance, you know who Leandro Higo is. The charismatic and talented bantamweight champion has been ready to make the move to the “big time” for a while. He has won nine consecutive fights and was actually a participant on TUF Brazil season 4.
After his last victory, a hard-fought decision win over Steven Peterson, many people felt he would be signed by one of the bigger organizations. It turns out they were right as Higo has signed an exclusive multi-fight contract with Bellator. Higo trains with the Freire brothers and Bellator seems like it makes sense for him as a home.
Currently, no debut date or first opponent is announced for Higo. Leandro Higo is a big addition to the already deep talent pool at 135 pounds in Bellator. He joins the likes of Joe Warren, LC Davis, Darrion Caldwell, and Bellator champion, Eduardo Dantas.
