After listening to Michael Bisping address his health, I smell an interim title fight coming.

After listening to Michael Bisping on his radio show ‘Believe you me’, it sounds as if he isn’t going to be fighting for some time. He informed us that neither himself or Georges St Pierre were formally informed by the UFC or Dana White, that their fight was cancelled.

It goes back to GSP and his video saying that he would be ready to fight in November. This turned out to be a blessing, as Bisping revealed that he’s injured and can’t fight soon anyway.

“I will say this and I’ve said it before; It’s a blessing in disguise because I can’t fight anytime soon. I can’t exercise or train. My knee is giving me many, many problems. It was doing it in Thailand and it’s still not getting better. I haven’t trained since I’ve been in London because I’ve been busy most days. I’ve flirted with some weights in the hotel gym, which is not very good, shall we say. The back of my knee is incredibly tight. I can’t actually straighten my left leg. I think that’s because the tendons, ligaments, and, muscles are super tight. My surgeon said we had to work on stretching it, but it just kind of got extenuated and it’s super tight. I can’t even walk for five minutes. I need to get back and start getting some treatment on that.
Long story short… I’m not going to be ready to fight anytime soon anyways. So that’s another reason why this played out into the perfect scenario for me.
To clarify, no official word from the UFC. I haven’t heard anything. Georges is still hoping for it. I’m still hoping for it. …I’ve got a fight booked and until I hear any differently from an official source, I’m expecting to fight GSP.”

Bisping still wants to chase that money fight with GSP, which is understandable. The UFC wants a fighting champion who is available. Everyone is getting interim title shots. UFC math says Mousasi vs Romero in the interim and the winner unifies the title later on.

But that’s just like, my opinion, man.
