Luke Rockhold feels all the emotions after losing to Michael Bisping

I think this video is amazing, and it’s the kind of video I wish we saw more of.

Luke Rockhold is among the very elite fighters in MMA. His athleticism, strength, and technique make him a very difficult fight for anyone in the world. Beyond what I think of his abilities in the cage, I think he’s a great person. Mike Swick shared a story about him on a recent Real Quick with Mike Swick Podcast after Luke defeated David Branch.

Swick said that some people fight Rockhold cocky, but he said he’s not. You can hear the story by clicking the above link.  The chip on Luke’s shoulder probably comes from his training at AKA. That said, I have never found Luke as cocky, I feel he’s worked hard to get where he is, and he’s proud of that.  That pride can be a bitter pill when things don’t go your way.  That’s why this video is compelling.

The video starts immediately after Luke was stopped by Bisping. He’s in the cage with Bob Cook, Javier Mendez and Daniel Cormier. Those guys are family to Luke, not just coaches, and trainers. The camera stays on him for a few minutes and you see him watching the knockout on replay. You simply see a man go through a myriad of emotions.
