Mark Hunt is back ladies and gentlemen and he’s got an opponent.
Yesterday we shared a Facebook post from Mark Hunt regarding comments about an upcoming fight. He said this fighter called him out, and he was going to knock him out. The only problem was, we didn’t know who he was referencing. Now we do.
Mark Hunt will return at UFC 221 in Perth, Australia to meet Curtis Blaydes in a heavyweight slugfest that more than likely will end with one of the two, looking at the lights. The two will fight on February 10th at the Perth Arena where Mark Hunt will likely hold a big fan advantage.
Curtis Blaydes (8-1) is a tough fighter who trains at Elevation Fight Team in Colorado. He’s won four consecutive fights in the UFC after dropping a fight to title contender Francis NGannou. He’s got heavy hands and good speed for his size. He uses his large 82 in reach to his advantage. He poses a threat to Mark Hunt with his accuracy and speed.
Mark Hunt (13-11) is a fighter you can’t judge from his pedestrian record. He has fought every top fighter on earth and is responsible for some of the most iconic walk-off knockouts in MMA history. He’s won 3 of his last 4 including wins over Antonio Silva, Frank Mir, and Derrick Lewis.
UFC 221 is headlined by Robert Whittaker defending his Middleweight Title against former champion Luke Rockhold.
