Max ‘Pain’ Griffin just took to his Instagram and posted his next fight. It looks as if he will be squaring off with season 1 Ultimate Fighter: Brazil finalist, Sergio Moraes.
On November 5th we saw Max Griffin dispose of his opponent in under a minute. As for Sergio Moraes, the 4 time BJJ world champion is undefeated, after dropping his UFC debut in 2012.
Griffin and Moraes join a good card which is steadily shaping up to be great. Vitor Belfort and Kelvin Gastelum are scheduled to go at it in the main event.
Other notable fights already on the UFN: Fortaleza card will be:
- Edson Barboza vs Beneil Dariush
- Bethe Correia vs Marion Reneau
- Shogun Rua vs Gian Villante
- Cowboy Oliveira vs Tim Means
The addition of Max and Sergio to the card only boosts this event’s appeal. Usually the UFC try and put as many Brazilians on a home card and we are subjected to lesser named fighters. Thus far, every scheduled fight has some decent name recognition.
This fight is the classic match-up and remains to be seen how it plays out.
One thing we do know is Griffin will be met with, “Uh Vai Morrer” when he takes on the local Brazilian countryman.
