Miesha Tate referred to Ronda’s statement as “asinine”
Time heals all wounds, or so they say. Apparently, that doesn’t prove the case when you’re talking about Ronda Rousey and Miesha Tate. They can’t seem to let their past rivalry go, despite neither of them being involved in MMA anymore as active competitors. Ronda was recently open about her thoughts on public speaking to the media and said hearing her speak is, “A privilege that’s been abused, so why not revoke it from everyone?”
That quote ruffled some feathers, including Tate’s clearly. She recently appeared on MMA Tonight on FS1 and addressed the comments directly. Upon being asked what her thoughts were on the quote she had plenty to say.
“People are gonna say I’m being a hater but I’m going to be honest, I think it’s a bit ridiculous and I think it’s very above herself. This kind of attitude, this is where we butt heads. This is the point where we do not agree. Sometimes Ronda will say something that’s humble and I’ll be like, ‘Hey, that’s a great comment.’ This is asinine.”
Miesha wasn’t done though, she went on to add.
“I think this is not the kind of attitude that you should have when you’re someone who is in the position of Ronda. Ronda’s very fortunate. Granted, she’s worked very hard … there’s a lot of people that work really, really hard and don’t get to that point of stardom or financial benefit or whatever it is. It’s a combined effort. To say ‘it’s a privilege to hear me speak’ is just sounds rude and full of herself. She really sounds full of herself.”
What do you think?
