Former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Miesha Tate is looking a little banged up today. No she didn’t step out of retirement for a last minute bout, nor is this picture an after shot of filming “Fight Valley” and going toe to toe with Cris Cyborg.
Miesha affirms that all is well and she had a successful nose surgery. It was nothing major, just smoothing out some broken bones and straightening out her septum.
One of the early pioneers of women’s mixed martial arts, Miesha also held the Strikeforce bantamweight championship, the promotion in which her feud with Ronda Rousey began. Miesha has gone on to become a household name in mixed martial arts and looks to have a very promising post-fight career.
We’re happy to see Cupcake doing well and wish her the best on not only her recovery from surgery but in retirement and at the FOX broadcast desk as well.
