Despite social media campaign to get the Daley fight, MVP finds himself on the outside looking in

We announced the news earlier today that Rory MacDonald would be making his Bellator debut in the main event of Bellator 179 against Paul Daley in London on May 19th. While the announcement¬†has been an exciting one for fight fans, one person in particular can be none too happy – Michael “Venom” Page.

Page has been on the offensive as of late on his social media channels, angling for a fight with Daley for that very event. But it appears as though those shots he was firing were not heard by Bellator.

Page, who made headlines with his Instagram account for taking a swipe at Ronda Rousey following her UFC 207 loss, has been going hard at Paul Daley in an attempt to elicit a response.

Riding the hashtag #Paulaaaa, MVP has been posting daily (no pun intended), culminating with a music video this morning. But it was all for naught, however, as Venom is now left on the outside looking in, despite his best efforts.

With Bellator 179 emanating from Page’s backyard, there’s a strong possibility that we may still see him on the fight card. MVP is 12-0 with 8 of his wins coming in Bellator, so a London fight card could be the perfect time to give him a title shot against Bellator welterweight champion Douglas Lima.
