In 2018, when Nick Diaz tours the UFC Performance Institute, it’s news. Why? Because anything that Nick Diaz does that isn’t anti-UFC is good news for his fans.
This is probably the tenth video where I’ve seen footage of someone touring the Performance Center. It’s also the tenth time that I’ve seen that place as barren as a post-apocalyptic wasteland. Legitimately, no one is EVER there. Maybe because it’s a private institute designed only for UFC fighters, yet marketed to the common folk. I digress.
Diaz being there is a good sign, however. Last week, Vice President of Athlete Health and Performance for UFC, Jeff Novitsky told Joe Rogan on his podcast that he’s trying to help Nick with his USADA issues. He even went as far as saying he thinks we could see Nick fight in 2018. Novitsky is the one (along with Reed Harris) that gave Nick the ‘walkthrough’. We can assume that Nick was there for more than just a tour with Novitsky.
If that’s the case, I say tour the empty center as much as you can, Nick! We want you back!
