Julianna Pena seems to be taking her loss in stride as she addresses her fans
Julianna Pena (8-3) had a lot to say before her fight with Valentina Shevchenko in the main event of UFC of FOX 23. She had ruled Ronda Rousey a bust, was ready to stake her claim as the face of women’s MMA and more. However, she came up short, losing by armbar to Shevchenko in the 2nd round of their title elimination fight. It will now be Valentina Shevchenko who moves on to face Amanda Nunes.
Julianna seems to be taking it all in stride. She took to Facebook to reach out to her many fans and followers. Here’s what she had to say.
She’s correct when she says most of the greats have taken losses. It’s smart to not treat a single defeat like all is lost. She can come back from this setback. She undoubtedly seems to have the desire and drive to do so. She’s a young fighter, and will learn from her loss and move forward better for it.
