The first time that Melvin Manhoef and Rafael Carvalho fought for the Bellator middleweight championship, was utterly forgettable. It was five rounds of circling and not striking. This time around, both fighters stepped up and put on a decent show. The fight was alright, but the knockout was a show stealer.
It doesn’t show it in this clip, but literally right before the video starts the announcer addressed how much better Melvin Manhoef was looking than in the previous round. Melvin was scoring and winning the round until Carvalho lowered the boom on him. It was loud, it was fast, and it was violent.
