After Ronda Rousey’s self-imposed UFC 207 media blackout, speculation swirled about why she did it. Many people theorized that Rousey had possibly lost her edge. In this video released by tmz sports today, she expressed anything but self doubt.
“I don’t care about how this pay per view does. Don’t care how much money I make. I don’t care about interviews and I don’t care about how I look. All I care about is winning my belt back on Friday night. That’s it.”
There you have it. All the rumors and blind guessing were for not. It appears that Ronda Rousey is laser focused for her fight with Amanda Nunes at UFC 207.
MMA Fighting’s Ariel Helwani posted this tweet expressing how the whole ‘no doing media’ thing happened.
White says WME had nothing to do with Rousey not talking. It was all him and her and he supports it. No conflict of interest.

Ronda Rousey got an exemption from media duties this week because she helped put her time in for the company already. Dana White agreed and gave her this one request. That’s it and that’s all.
