Ronda Rousey successfully retains her WWE title at Hell in a Cell

Ronda Rousey continues to shine in the WWE. Last night she successfully defended her WWE women’s championship at the Hell in a Cell PPV. It was her first title defense in the WWE since winning the belt and it was in a rematch of the woman that she initially won it from, Alexa Bliss.

The WWE played off of the angle that Ronda had hurt ribs, which she suffered at the hands of Bliss last Monday night. The match was worked around Bliss targeting the ribs and weakening her. Ronda gave off the illusion that since her ribs were so hurt, she couldn’t dominate Bliss like she did in their first title match.

Ultimately, she earned the victory through fortitude and working through the pain.

Ronda will walk into RAW tonight and more than likely get a new opponent to begin a feud with.
