Mauricio “Shogun” Rua and Gian Villante set to Clash at UFC Fight Night 107
Two UFC Light Heavyweights who are not afraid to mix it up will do exactly that on March 7th in Brazil when Shogun Rua faces off with Gian Villante. This card is shaping up to be pretty solid, and this bout only adds to the excitement level.
Shogun Rua (24-10) is one of the most popular fighters in Brazil, and was last seen in the Octagon defeating Corey Anderson, and before that defeated Antonio Rogerio Nogueira. He’s a well rounded fighter, but certainly has shown a fondness for striking. He has good hands, knees and kicks, and he’ll have in front of him someone willing to engage in a stand up war.
Gian Villante (15-7) is coming off of a Fight of Night performance against Saparbek Safarov last month at UFC Fight Night 102. Gian is known to involve himself in brawls, at times throwing caution to the wind. While it has at times cost him fights, it makes him a fan favorite. This fight should undoubtedly be exciting for the fans.
The event takes place March 11 and originates from Fortaleza, Ceara, Brazil.
