Stipe Miocic remembers those lost on 9/11 in touching tribute
9/11 is a day we all remember differently. I, like everyone else, remember that day vividly and we all remember our experiences associated with it. I was a real estate appraiser at the time and went through multiple houses that day, and saw how those families were dealing with it. It was a surreal experience, and a day I’ll never forget.
The action against us led to a mass of young adults joining the military and looking to defend our nation. It also brought the USA together in a way nobody could have expected. For firefighters and those emergency workers, the day will always be a painful reminder of what makes a hero. Those men and women gave their lives to attempt to save others. It’s the very definition of bravery and selflessness.
Stipe Miocic is not only a former UFC champion. He’s a full-time Fireman and as you can imagine this date means a lot to him. He posted a tribute via Twitter that I want to share with you here.
Remember those who sacrificed everything on 9/11. One of the worst days in American history, but some of the bravest acts I’ve ever seen. Thank you to my fellow firefighters and first responders who stop at nothing to keep us safe. You are true heroes. #NeverForget pic.twitter.com/F0BGydDLYF
