Possible KO of the year at Glory 55. Middleweight champ, Pereira, retains

In what could be considered for knockout of the year, Alex Pereira put his opponent down with a crushing shot at Glory 55. He took on Yousri Belgaroui for the third time and was defending his Glory middleweight championship. The trilogy fight would see if Pereira retains his title or drops it to Belgaroui.

For all intensive purposes, Belgaroui may have had the bragging rights and mental edge going into this fight. He soundly beat Pereira by decision once before and in their last fight, he lost due to a cut. This fight seemed to be for all of the marbles, but Pereira took the bull by the horns and left no doubt about who the better fighter was last night.

In a first-round exchange, Pereira landed an overhand right that would have stopped a charging buffalo. There was no question about the fight being over, as Belgaroui was out cold.
