Must watch! Showtime did a feature on weight cutting and it’s TOO real

With the current trend in mixed martial arts regarding weight cutting, you must watch this feature that Showtime just released. While the video is a predominantly boxing weight cut related subject, people can’t help but discuss the MMA side of it and how bad it is.

The video focuses on Andy Foster, who is the head of the California State Athletic Commission, and he has been doing his damnedest to try and stop extreme weight cuts. The UFC have hopped on board and they have been cancelling fights before guys have even started weight cutting. If they see it as an unsafe amount to lose the UFC will put an end to a fight.

It’s interesting how Foster talks about how boxing is HEADING to where MMA is. He is basically saying that mixed martial arts is dangerous and that’s before two fighters even get in the cage with each other.

While Foster and company try to clean up combat sports, getting there has proven to be a very painful process.
