We recently wrote about a trans woman that would take on a man in an MMA fight. That fight has come and gone and she, in fact, did win her pro debut. Anne Veriato took on Railson Paixao and defeated him via unanimous decision.
The fight was no cakewalk for Veriato, as the two went back-and-forth for the entire fight. She got busted up pretty badly on the feet, but it was Veriato’s ground game that would be the difference in the fight.
Veriato became the first transgender woman to fight and defeat a man in MMA with her victory on Saturday night.
