Rumble embracing his girl, Mary Jane. Love at first bud.

The song “I Love you Mary Jane” by Cypress Hill could have been written for Anthony Johnson and the way he lovingly looks at his marijuana plants. It’s my relationship goal to find a woman who looks at me the way AJ looks at his leafy green friend. Some may say that I’m setting the … Read moreRumble embracing his girl, Mary Jane. Anthony Johnson has become a monster among men

anthony-johnson-monster-men

MMA fans have always wondered where Anthony Johnson’s power came from. I think I know the answer. Inside his welterweight, middleweight, light heavyweight, and heavyweight fighting bodies; There was a truck diesel super heavyweight monster among men.

Since his retirement from mixed martial arts, ‘Rumble’ has been hitting the iron very hard. With no necessity to cut weight and maintain a body size for a certain weight class, Rumble has gone big. Really big.

Johnson has always been a big guy, but now he is absolutely enormous. It makes you wonder how in the hell AJ was ever able to make 170 pounds. I’m guestimating that he weighs close to 265 pounds of solid muscle.

I’d love to see him come back and fight Mariusz Pudzianowski.

Check out AJ’s latest training videos.

UFC 210 Embedded Vlog – Episode 5 public workouts and media scrums

UFC 210 Embedded

The UFC is back with another episode of Embedded

The UFC 210 Embedded train just keeps on rolling. We’re bringing you episode five today, and the UFC is showing some video from the open workouts and media scrums. Gegard Mousasi and Chris Weidman are gifted personalized jerseys by the Buffalo Sabres, and they both seem genuinely happy to get the jerseys.

Anthony Johnson and Daniel Cormier are shown doing their workouts and media scrums as well.  Daniel Cormier talks about how much he likes the grind. He talks about Jon Jones and says if the UFC brings him into the cage after he beats Rumble, there’s going to be a problem.

We see Anthony Johnson and Daniel Cormier talking while doing some press. John makes a joke about nuts in Cormier’s mouth and the two laugh.  Daniel Cormier is clearly tired of hearing questions about Jon Jones.  You’ll see what I mean.

We join Pearl Gonzalez on a trip to Niagara Falls and we’re introduced to who she is. She’s making her debut at UFC 210.  We then are treated to some coverage from Pearl’s opponent, Team Alpha Male’s Cynthia Calvillo.  Check out the video below.

Anthony Johnson going light at UFC 210 open workouts. Still destroys pads.

Anthony Johnson going light at UFC 210 open workouts. Still destroys pads.

We all are well aware that Anthony Johnson is a monster. It was almost comical watching him hit pads at the UFC 210 open workouts today. Rumble looked like he was trying so hard to go lightly, but his natural instinct is to just destroy whatever is in front of him.

Almost like a dog with a bone, AJ can’t stop himself from ripping the bone to shreds. When Henri Hooft is holding pads for Anthony Johnson, Rumble can try to go light, but his genetic code doesn’t allow it. You can see every now and then, his left hook really gets away from him. Also, his high kicks come at a higher velocity.

Remember Animal on the Muppet Show? No matter how hard they tried to keep him calm and not destroy the drumset, he couldn’t stop himself. That is AJ hitting mitts. Enjoy the violence.
