In it for the scares on all Hallows Eve. UFC fighters get spooked.

scares-hallows-eve-ufc-fighters-spooked

All Hallows Eve is all over. However, the videos taken on Halloween will last forever. We call these ‘memories’ and the UFC created some great ones one scaring the crap out of their fighters this past weekend.

I’ve seen this scare prank before. It has a small maze or something and the viewer is forced to follow a square very intently. While focusing on this small square (and not having any idea about what is about to happen), suddenly the face of Linda Blair in The Exorcist pops up with a louder than normal scream. The result is that it scares the bejeezus out of whoever is watching.

In this case; Volkan Oezdemir, DC, Anthony Smith, Gian Villante, and others are the victims and it doesn’t get much funnier than this.

Shogun Rua releases a statement after his KO loss to Anthony Smith

Shogun Rua

Shogun is a classy fighter, and he’s part of a Pride history that I adore. Sunday was a tough pill to swallow for fans of Pride and one of their original studs. After ten decisions, the Hamburg main event delivered a finish

ten-decisions-Hamburg-delivered-finish

UFC Hamburg saw itself ten decisions and felt like the longest fight card of all time. After the Fight Pass prelims, the card had rattled off nine straight decisions going into the main event. Given Anthony Smith and Shogun Rua’s track record, there was no way that the fight would go to ten straight. Right?

Thankfully, they didn’t disappoint and they broke the streak. Shogun put the pressure on Smith and Smith countered with accurate hammers to Shogun’s head. After wobbling Shogun, Smith swarmed. Shogun was out on his feet before the referee was able to stop the fight.

Since moving up to light heavyweight, Smith has now KO’d two former UFC light heavyweight champions; Rashad Evans and now, Shogun.
