CM Punk sits down with Ariel Helwani in a special 1-on-1 interview

punk-ariel-special-interview

CM Punk said it best when he says that sitting down with Ariel Helwani was special. Punk doesn’t normally like to do interviews via Skype or phone etc. So every time the UFC comes to Chicago, Ariel tries to get a 1-on-1 unique sit down with Punk. This time is a lot more special because Punk is competing for the first time ever in MMA in his home city.

Punk goes into great detail about the defamation lawsuit that he just won and how it’s a huge weight lifted off of his shoulders. The highlight of this interview is definitely how he relates MMA and pro wrestling. In the WWE, no one was better at manufacturing fake beef than Punk. In MMA and real life, it’s totally the opposite. He feels no need to hype his fight and pretend that he hates his opponent.

For you wrestling fans, will he ever come back to wrestling? His answer of ‘maybe’ is a lot more promising than the word, ‘no’.

Ariel Helwani as UFC president, promoting UFC 217

ariel-helwani-president-promoting

On the MMA Hour, Ariel Helwani showed off his skills if he were president of the UFC. He did his best job at promoting UFC 217 and I have to say, he kind of nailed it.

After hundreds and hundreds of UFC’s, you kind of have to assume that Dana White has become complacent in his role. It’s like Aerosmith going on stage and singing ‘Sweet Emotion’ for the zillionth time. I imagine it’s cool, but nothing to get excited about.

Ariel Helwani has never been in the president seat, so he took his try at promoting the UFC 217 card. Helwani is a pro wrestling fan and is an even bigger fan of the promos that they cut. So, when Ariel did his thing on the MMA Hour, a fan turned his little promo into a big one.

It makes me want to buy the card.

A most unpleasant animated Valentines Day for Dana White.

A most unpleasant animated Valentine's Day for Dana White.

February 14th, 2017 will go down as a most unpleasant Valentine’s Day for Dana White. Through the eyes of Mojahed Fudailat’s animated video, everything goes South for the boss.

In all fairness, every video Mojahed posts, things do no go well for Dana. Surprisingly in his last animated video, Dana White survived. Don’t start cheering for his survival just yet. The video ends by saying, ‘to be continued’.

This can only mean that there is a gruesome ending coming for Dana in part two. The video posted today is technically part 1.5.

Casted with some of the usual suspects like Joe Rogan, Conor McGregor, and Khabib Nurmagomedov; It’s just a nice ‘Happy Valentine’s Day to all of you that actually care about this Hallmark holiday.

Hey Dana, be nice to Ariel Helwani. That man gave you chocolates.
